Reid looking to conquer Cadwell’s mountain at bank holiday meeting on his ‘Cool’ Kawasaki
Quattro Plant Cool Kawasaki rider Andy Reid is looking to get back to winning ways during this weekend’s Bank Holiday meeting at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire – where the optimum goal is to add to his four victories to date this season in the British Supersport class.
The Northern Ireland rider currently holds third place in the championship standings, but after what he described as a ‘mediocre’ triple-header weekend at Brands Hatch last time out – he’s gunning for some champagne celebrations on Sunday and Monday at round eight.
Andy Reid:“Cadwell Park is a circuit I enjoy racing on: it has a little bit of everything and of course the famous Mountain, where us ex motocross boys seem to get some pretty special air time. The narrow nature of the tracks means it’s important to be at the front to challenge, so a good qualifying position is what we need to go for those wins.
“The circuit usually produces tight racing and with the fans being so close to the action, if the sun shines – as we expect it to this weekend – a great atmosphere is guaranteed. We’ve changed a few things on the Quattro Plant Cool Kawasaki, so we will see how those improvements work for us this weekend. I expect tough racing but as always, two wins is the goal to get back closer to the front in the championship standings.”
