Round 9: Silverstone
8th, 9th & 10th September 2017
Currently the home of the Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix, this former wartime airfield circuit can boast being one of the world’s foremost motorsport venues.
Silverstone hosted the first ever round of the F1 World Championship in 1948, and over the years has developed to meet the needs of the modern sporting era.
The circuit held the British Motorcycle Grand Prix for a decade, following the event’s switch to the mainland from the Isle of Man and has staged World Superbike Championship action in recent years in addition to the domestic series.
In 2010 MCE BSB raced on the new Arena GP circuit for the first time.
“I always look forward to riding here. It is so wide its slightly overwhelming at times, if you are not on the pace you can feel lost on this track. Once you are up to speed again a very enjoyable place to ride!”
